The ZEISS High Speeds Mark II are fast, fast vintage optics made in Germany with the same characteristic creamy-soft look as their predecessors. They are very sharp even at full aperture, have medium contrast, excellent close focus, beautiful lens flares and, as a bonus, virtually no focus breathing. Fantastic lenses with a creamy soft look that cannot be copied - literally, because some of the materials used in the manufacture of the glass are no longer allowed to be used! A rental classic that rightly features on many DOP lists.
