In addition to the small and lightweight design of the LPL full format primes, close focus is an outstanding feature of the ARRI Ensō lenses. With a magnification ratio of 1:4, this enables close-ups, for example when taking product or food shots, with minimized focus breathing. The smooth and gently balanced native look is significantly less sharp than the larger and much more expensive Signature Primes.

This look can be coordinated with Ensō Vintage Elements, which attach magnetically to the rear lens, allowing many different looks to be achieved with a single lens set. Developed from the Impression Filter Feedback of the Signature Primes, Ensō Vintage elements offer the following advantages: Stronger strengths, sharper in the middle and therefore easier to focus, and a stronger detuning effect at the edges of the image. The metadata about the resulting focal length, aperture and focus shifts are transmitted to the camera and from there to the Hi-5 handheld unit to be automatically compensated for there.

Our set contains three positive elements of different strengths that create a smeared bokeh with soft edges in the background and a historical Petzval-like image swirl at the corners of the frame. The three negative elements have the opposite effect: blurred background lights with diffused centers and bright outlines that overlap to create an edgier, more intrusive feel.
