BLACKWING7 is a modern full-frame lens with a new design based on older, proven lens designs. Blackwing's Lens tuning allows the modification of parameters such as sharpness, contrast, roll-off, spherical aberration, field curvature, edge halo and flare to provide curated lenses to suit individual creativity and requirements. We have opted for T-Tuning. The lenses are characterised by their unique quality, in particular by a very characteristic bokeh. Particularly beautiful images are created when filming with the aperture wide open.
Edward Berger used the Tribe7 Blackwing for the Netflix World War I epic ‘Nothing New in the West’ (2022). The film received 4 Oscars, including ‘Best Cinematography’.
